Overview:
The Field Maintenance Operations Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating field maintenance activities across ADC’s telecom infrastructure, including RAN, Core, and Transport networks. Operating within the Infrastructure Operations team, this role ensures proactive and corrective maintenance is conducted efficiently, minimizing downtime, meeting SLA targets, and maintaining the integrity and reliability of critical network assets.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily field operations related to preventive and corrective maintenance of network infrastructure across all regions.
Coordinate with the NOC, Engineering, and Vendor teams to dispatch field engineers and resolve incidents within SLA timelines.
Ensure all field maintenance activities follow health, safety, and quality standards, including regulatory and environmental compliance.
Oversee inventory and spare parts logistics to ensure availability of equipment for rapid on-site interventions.
Maintain and update documentation of field visits, maintenance activities, and fault resolution history.
Lead and mentor regional field maintenance teams to ensure high standards of technical execution and professionalism.
Analyze fault trends and develop preventive strategies to reduce repetitive incidents and network downtime.
Support infrastructure upgrades, site integration, and emergency response protocols as required.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
+4 years of experience in telecom network operations or field maintenance, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of RAN, Core, and Transport systems (microwave, IP/MPLS, fiber).
Proven ability to manage geographically dispersed field teams.
Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Familiarity with work order management systems, fault ticketing tools, and safety compliance frameworks.
Ability to work under pressure and during off-hours for critical issues and emergency response.
