Specialization: Electrical Estimation and Costing

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Pricing Engineer to join our engineering and technical office team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems estimation with 10 years of experience in analyzing tender documents, preparing BOQs, and developing comprehensive cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

Study tender documents, including agreements, technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.

Coordinate with relevant departments to clarify ambiguities and conflicts in documentation.

Review quantities and ensure accuracy, especially for lump-sum contracts.

Identify any items mentioned in drawings but missing from BOQs.

Prepare cost analysis for each BOQ item, covering materials, labor, equipment, and transportation.

Utilize price databases and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

Calculate profit margins and total project cost.

Collaborate with the planning and procurement teams to prepare technical and financial proposals.

Identify potential risks affecting project costs and recommend mitigation strategies.

Build and update a price database for electrical works.

Establish budgets for awarded projects based on estimation studies.

Generate cost analysis and forecast reports for management.

Evaluate the financial performance of executed projects and update the pricing database accordingly.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

10 years of relevant experience in electrical estimation and pricing.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems and low current systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit.

Excellent quantitative, analytical, and financial assessment skills.

Effective communication skills in both Arabic and English.

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
