Job Purpose
Human Capital Strategy & Planning at DACO will lead and manage all aspects of human capital strategy and planning. This role is critical in developing, implementing, and overseeing strategic initiatives to optimize DACO’s human capital resources, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Duties and responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement comprehensive human capital strategies that align with DACO’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
Lead the alignment of human capital plans with organizational objectives, ensuring integration with overall business strategies.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of human capital strategy and planning initiatives, driving continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence:
Lead the execution of human capital planning, including workforce forecasting, talent management, and succession planning.
Manage efforts to optimize organizational structures and job roles to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Monitor the implementation of best practices in human capital management, including the use of advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in human capital processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including department heads and senior management, to align human capital strategies with business needs.
Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies and industry partners, to ensure compliance and adopt best practices.
Communicate effectively with various departments to ensure the implementation of human capital initiatives and strategies.
Team Leadership and Development:
Provide guidance and mentorship to the human capital strategy and planning team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Develop training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the human capital strategy and planning team.
Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and support team members to meet their objectives.
Financial Management:
Assist in developing and managing the budget for the human capital strategy and planning department, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Monitor financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement measures to achieve financial targets.
Prepare budget reports for review by senior management, providing insights and recommendations for financial planning in human capital strategy and planning.
Risk and Compliance Management
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards related to human capital strategy and planning.
Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with human capital management and ensure effective policy implementation.
Monitor trends and external factors related to human capital that may impact DACO’s risk profile, providing relevant information to risk owners and executive management.
Maintain ongoing vigilance over human capital strategy and planning-related matters, consistently reviewing and addressing compliance issues, deviations, and potential risks.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Drive innovation in human capital strategy and planning practices through the adoption of new technologies and best practices.
Continuously assess and improve processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, actively seeking feedback and implementing ideas for enhancement
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree: In Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
8 years of progressive experience in human capital strategy and planning, with a significant portion in a management or leadership role.
