Director, Cybersecurity Defense

Job Description

The Cybersecurity Defense Director leads the strategy, operations, and response capabilities of cyber defense functions, including incident response, vulnerability management, and threat detection across the organization.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with third parties in the event of a cybersecurity incident.

Ensure that appropriate actions are taken to mitigate the risk in the event of a cybersecurity incident.

Implementation, and operations of Cybersecurity capabilities, including security tools and technology, security operation centers threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.

Coordinating the development and implementation of incident response plans and procedures to ensure that business-critical services are recovered in the event of a security event, providing direction and support to the organization.

Lead investigations for root cause analysis and impact assessments of affected critical systems or data and manage the necessary corrective action plan.

Maintain a deployable cyber defense audit toolkit based on industry best practice to support cyber defense audits.

Maintain knowledge of applicable cybersecurity defense policies, regulations and compliance documents as they pertain to cybersecurity defense auditing.

Document and escalate incidents that may cause immediate or ongoing impact.

Coordinate with IT teams on escalations, tracking, performance issues, and outages.

Investigate, coordinate, bring to resolution, and report on security incidents as they are escalated or identified.

Make cybersecurity recommendations to leadership based on significant threats and vulnerabilities.

Identify, prioritize and coordinate the protection of critical cyber defense infrastructure and resources.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, IT Risk Management, Data Protection & Privacy, and Regulatory Compliance.

6+ years of leadership experience

Knowledge of key Cybersecurity and IT security management processes and industry frameworks (e.g., COBIT, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001, NCA Frameworks).

Strong security background (understanding risk assessment, legal and regulatory requirements, threats, vulnerabilities, security policies ).

Engage with ROSHN’s leadership to ensure cybersecurity controls are applied in their areas of responsibility.

Able to manage multiple concurrent tasks and projects.

Have a record of building excellence and a brand that attracts talent to ROSHN.

Certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GCFA, CISA.

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
