Civil Estimation - Prefab

Junior Civil Estimator for Prefab division Job Description:

Purpose of the Role:

To assist in the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for prefab construction projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation provided in project inquiries. The Junior Estimator will work under supervision and support the senior team in ensuring timely and precise estimation submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

Ø Review prefab inquiries and related documentation (BOQs, drawings, specifications).

Ø Coordinate with sales and engineering teams to clarify project scope and requirements.

Ø Assist in calculating material, labor, and equipment costs using standard estimation tools.

Ø Prepare preliminary cost breakdowns for internal review.

Ø Ensure all estimates comply with internal guidelines and standards.

Ø Support in the preparation of tender submissions, including technical documents when required.

Ø Follow up on submitted estimates to support sales and project coordination.

Skills & Competencies:

Ø Basic understanding of prefab construction and civil engineering principles.

Ø Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD; knowledge of estimation software is an advantage.

Ø Good mathematical and analytical skills.

Ø Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Ø Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

Ø bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Ø 2–3 years of relevant experience in construction estimation (prefab experience is a plus).
