System Developer - Trade Finance (Java)

The System Developer – Trade Finance (Java) is responsible for delivering software solutions for the bank’s trade finance technology platform, with a strong emphasis on Java-based systems. This role plays a key part in ensuring the efficient design, development, and deployment of the platform. The developer works collaboratively with internal IT teams and external vendors to support full-cycle solution delivery and may also lead technical resources to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to both internal stakeholders and external clients.

Execute development and support activities for the trade finance platform in accordance with the bank’s software development lifecycle (SDLC) and system standards, with a focus on Java technologies.

Collaborate with stakeholders, including internal clients, technology teams, and application vendors, to deliver robust platform enhancements and support.

Design and implement changes to existing applications and new features, providing recommendations for continuous improvement using Java and related frameworks.

Translate business requirements into technical solutions by analyzing operating models, workflows, data structures, and system specifications; review and validate vendor solutions for technical and business compatibility.

Partner with analysts and other developers to ensure compliance with coding standards, architecture guidelines, and development lifecycle practices.

Contribute to the evaluation of new initiatives and projects, offering technical recommendations that support the evolution of the bank’s trade finance capabilities.

Monitor and improve system performance and quality; conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions when issues arise.

Align platform development with the bank’s overall enterprise architecture, ensuring integration, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
