Job Title: Smart City Technology Architect

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Smart City Technology Architect to lead the design and implementation of digital infrastructure for next-generation urban ecosystems in Riyadh. This role focuses on integrating IoT, connectivity, edge/cloud computing, and cybersecurity to deliver secure, scalable, and future-ready smart city solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect end-to-end smart city platforms (IoT, compute, connectivity, storage, and security).

Design integration frameworks for devices, platforms, and city services (e.g., transport, energy, safety).

Ensure compliance with smart city standards (e.g., ISO 30182, ITU Y.4200).

Collaborate on network solutions (5G, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT) with telecom vendors.

Support cloud-native and edge architectures for real-time data processing.

Oversee cybersecurity, identity management, and secure data exchange.

Align technical designs with urban planning and business use cases.

Lead technology assessments and vendor selections.

Document technical blueprints, models, and patterns.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s/master’s in engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

8+ years in technology/ICT architecture, 5+ years in smart city or IoT systems.

Strong in IoT, cloud/edge, cybersecurity, and network infrastructure.

Knowledge of LPWAN, IT/OT integration, MQTT/AMQP, and API gateways.

Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Bilingual (English & Arabic) preferred.

Preferred:

Certifications: AWS/Azure/GCP, CISSP, TOGAF.

Experience with smart poles, control centers, mobility systems.

Familiarity with digital twins, urban data platforms, and ESG-aligned infrastructure.
