The Role

As a Landscaping Assistant Manager, you will support the Landscaping Manager in overseeing all landscape operations throughout the resort, including gardens, green spaces, hardscape areas, and exterior aesthetics. You will ensure that the grounds are maintained to the highest standards of luxury hospitality, contributing to a serene and visually stunning guest experience.

Your role includes supervising landscaping teams, managing maintenance schedules, and supporting the development of sustainable landscaping practices aligned with Red Sea Global Hospitality’s environmental values.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality employees continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As landscaping Assistant Manager, you will need to:

Operational Management

Assist in managing daily landscaping operations, irrigation operation, ensuring gardens, lawns, beach and outdoor areas are maintained to five-star standards.

Supervise and coordinate the activities of the landscaping team, including gardeners, technicians, and external contractors.

Implement and monitor regular maintenance schedules for irrigations system, trimming, pruning, irrigation, pest control, and fertilization.

Support the installation of new landscaping projects, seasonal plantings, and enhancements to existing areas.

Sustainability & Environmental Care

Promote sustainable landscaping practices, including water conservation, eco-friendly pest control, and the use of native or adaptive plant species.

Monitor irrigation systems and ensure efficient water use aligned with the property’s environmental policies.

Team Leadership

Train and develop team members in horticulture best practices, safety procedures, and guest service excellence.

Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and support career development.

Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment within the landscaping team.

Quality Control & Aesthetic Standards

Conduct regular inspections of all landscaped areas to ensure compliance with company standards for beauty, cleanliness, and safety.

Report any issues or damage to the Landscaping Manager and coordinate timely corrective actions.

Ensure all landscaping activities are carried out with minimal disruption to guests.

Equipment & Materials Management

Monitor the use and maintenance of landscaping tools, machinery, and supplies.

Assist with inventory control and procurement of plants, materials, and equipment.

Ensure proper storage and maintenance of gardening equipment in line with health and safety regulations.

Administrative Support

Maintain records of landscaping activities, schedules, and incidents.

Assist in preparing reports and budgets related to landscaping operations.

Liaise with other departments to support overall property maintenance and special events requiring landscape adjustments.

Key Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Management, or a related field is preferred.

Minimum of 5–7 years of landscaping experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant management role.

Strong knowledge of plant care, soil management, pest control, and irrigation systems.

Experience in sustainable and eco-friendly landscaping practices.

Proficiency in landscaping management software is an advantage.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Physically fit to perform landscape site visits and supervise outdoor work.
