Position Overview

Node Technologies is looking for an experienced IBM FileNet Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise content management solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in IBM FileNet P8 platform and related technologies, with the ability to architect scalable document management systems for our diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

FileNet Platform Management

Design, configure, and maintain IBM FileNet P8 Content Engine environments

Implement and manage FileNet Application Engine (AE) and Process Engine (PE)

Configure and optimize FileNet storage areas and object stores

Manage FileNet security realms, roles, and access control policies

Monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies

Implementation & Integration

Lead FileNet implementation projects from requirements gathering to go-live

Design document lifecycle management workflows and business processes

Integrate FileNet with third-party applications using APIs and web services

Implement FileNet Content Federation Services for enterprise search capabilities

Configure and customize FileNet Workplace and Application Engine applications

Development & Customization

Develop custom applications using FileNet Java APIs and .NET APIs

Create and maintain FileNet event handlers and custom workflows

Design and implement document capture and indexing solutions

Develop reports and analytics using FileNet reporting tools

Customize FileNet user interfaces and create responsive web applications

Administration & Maintenance

Perform regular system administration tasks including backup and recovery

Plan and execute FileNet version upgrades and patch installations

Monitor system health, performance metrics, and capacity planning

Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide root cause analysis

Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures

Security & Compliance

Implement security policies and access controls according to business requirements

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements

Configure audit trails and implement retention policies

Manage encryption and secure document transmission

Conduct security assessments and implement remediation measures

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

4-8 years of hands-on experience with IBM FileNet P8 platform

Proven experience in enterprise content management implementations

Experience with large-scale document management system deployments

Technical Skills

FileNet Expertise: P8 Content Engine, Application Engine, Process Engine

FileNet Tools: Workplace, Workplace XT, ACCE (Administration Console)

Programming: Java, J2EE, .NET, JavaScript, XML, XSLT

Web Technologies: HTML5, CSS3, REST/SOAP web services, JSON

Application Servers: WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, IIS

Databases: IBM DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL

Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux (RHEL, SUSE)

Integration: IBM Content Navigator, IBM Case Manager, LDAP/Active Directory

Development Tools: Eclipse, Visual Studio, IBM FileNet IDE

Preferred Qualifications

IBM FileNet certifications (IBM Certified Solution Developer, IBM Certified System Administrator)

Experience with IBM Case Manager and IBM Content Navigator

Knowledge of IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation

Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies

Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Soft Skills

Ability to lead technical discussions with stakeholders

Project management skills and experience working with cross-functional teams
