Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline; an MBA is a strong advantage.
7+ years of B2B sales experience in water treatment chemicals or specialty chemicals, preferably with direct exposure to desalination or industrial water management sectors.
Proven track record of working with government entities and navigating public procurement frameworks in the Middle East.
Fluency in Arabic and English is required.
Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and technical understanding of water chemistry and membrane treatment processes.
Experience in managing cross-cultural distributor networks and working independently in a regional setup.
Willingness to travel extensively across Africa is required.
Key Responsibility Areas
Lead and expand the organization’s footprint across Middle Eastern and North African markets within the desalination chemicals market.
Develop and implement country-specific and account-specific sales strategies to capture market share in Thermal and RO Plants segments.
Identify and foster partnerships with public and private procurement agencies, public utilities, and engineering consultants.
Evaluate, appoint, and support distributors to ensure comprehensive market coverage and superior customer service.
Provide technical support to customers and partners by offering datasheets, application insights, and product samples.
Collaborate with R&D and Product Development teams to align offerings with market-specific needs and performance criteria.
Continuously monitor regional regulatory changes and tender opportunities to proactively shape bid strategies.
Deliver accurate sales forecasts and contribute to regional budgeting and planning activities.
Represent the organization in regional trade shows, desalination conferences, and industry forums to increase visibility and credibility.
