Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive design strategy for gaming and esports venues, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya's overall vision and brand identity

Lead a team of designers to create innovative and engaging spaces that cater to esports events, gaming experiences, and interactive environments

Collaborate with game developers, technology partners, and marketing teams to integrate cutting-edge technology and design elements into venues

Conduct feasibility studies, prepare design proposals and presentations, and engage with stakeholders for feedback and approval throughout the design process

Ensure that designs are functional, aesthetic, and adhere to industry standards and safety regulations

Stay current with gaming and esports trends, market demands, and consumer preferences to inform design decisions

Mentor and develop the design team, promoting a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration

Manage external consultants and contractors to ensure effective project delivery and design execution

Oversee project timelines and budgets, ensuring that milestones are met effectively.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Game Design, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred

A minimum of 12-15 years of experience in design, with a focus on gaming, entertainment, or large-scale event environments

Proven experience in leading the design of gaming and esports venues or similar interactive spaces

Strong understanding of the gaming industry, trends, and consumer preferences

Exceptional creativity and the ability to translate conceptual ideas into engaging design solutions

Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentoring junior designers

Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective stakeholder engagement
