Brief Description:
The Assistant Manager – Accounts Receivable plays a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of the receivables function.
This includes overseeing invoicing, tracking outstanding payments, reconciling customer accounts, and supporting financial reporting.
The role requires strong coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely collections, while upholding compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the tracking and reconciliation of customer accounts, ensuring timely follow-up on overdue balances.
Review and validate customer invoices for accuracy and completeness prior to issuance.
Manage payment follow-ups, resolve discrepancies, and maintain proper documentation for audit and reporting.
Monitor aging reports and highlight key risks or opportunities to the Accounting Manager.
Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Commercial, Treasury) to validate contract terms and ensure alignment with payment schedules.
Assist in developing and improving invoicing processes and collection procedures to enhance efficiency and cash flow.
Support compliance with Saudi regulations including e-invoicing, VAT, and RETT requirements.
Assist with the preparation of monthly reports, KPIs, and account status updates.
Participate in ERP upgrades, automation initiatives, and other finance transformation projects.
Mentor junior staff and provide guidance in daily tasks and system usage (e.g., SAP).
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar finance role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP).
Familiarity with regulatory requirements (VAT, e-invoicing) in Saudi Arabia.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
